Welcome, I'm so glad you’re here.
My name is Alinne Butcher (pronunciation: uh-LEE-knee), and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety management, and building healthy self-esteem by helping my clients reestablish balance and connection within themselves and with others.
I work with teens, parents, couples, and adults who are invested in cultivating a life of fullness, stability, and health. We’d be a good fit to work together if you are:
- Wanting a deeper understanding of why you keep repeating the same problematic cycles in your relationships
- Seeking to learn how your past impacts your beliefs and feelings
- A successful, high-achieving individual who struggles with feelings of self-doubt, anxiety, and emptiness
- Living with high-functioning anxiety and looking to break people-pleasing behaviors
- A survivor of trauma (childhood abuse, sexual assault, neglect, church hurt, work harassment, medical trauma, serious accidents, racial discrimination)
In our work together, we will:
- Deepen your self-awareness and self-reflection
- Develop healthy communication and coping skills
- Help you become more integrated, peaceful, and confident
- Implement culturally-appropriate boundaries and stand in your purpose
- Empower you to move through healing with safety and security
Some values that guide my therapeutic practices are:
Safety—when we feel safe, we heal. It's important to me that you feel safe when exploring your own feelings, thoughts, and experiences. In our sessions, I will build your trust and anchor you to safety as we journey into the depths of your story.
Inclusivity—our sense of belonging steers how we carry ourselves through this world. I am here to witness you exactly as you are. All of you, including all your feelings, are welcomed here and held with gentleness and empathy.
Curiosity—I genuinely care about people and love learning about each person’s story, strength, and perspective. Curiosity guides me in asking thought-provoking questions, unlocking the deep parts of ourselves that we’ve hidden, and uncovering what we've swept under the rug. It’s a great tool to develop connection and closeness.
Transparency—there is so much beauty and healing available when we are able to be open and honest about our reality, experiences, and pains. You are encouraged to show up authentically (just as you are) and take up space in our sessions. Transparency also means that I will not withhold helpful information or necessary next steps in our sessions. Therapeutic insight will be presented in a kind way, and we will explore the hard truths together.
If you think we’d be a good fit or have additional questions about therapy, please schedule a 15-minute free consultation.
